Currently in the Project Viewer plugin there is never an indication, when importing
files into a project, that anything is actually happening. This occurs whether initially
importing files into a project, re-importing files into a project, or adding files
to a project. Furthermore the dialogs for doing any of the above stay open with again
no indication that anything has occurred.
My suggestions are:
1) When importing files into a project in any way a wait cursor is shown until the
importing is finished. The wait cursor should prevent anyone from doing anything until
the importing is finished. When the importing is finished the wait cursor changes
back to a normal jEdit cursor.
2) When the importing is finished the dialog which is used for importing files into
a projectis automatically closed.
Please consider these changes. Currently importing files into a Project Viewer project
is visually very poor because the end-user has no idea if anything is happening or
not or how long the importing process will take. By making the simple visual changes
above to the Project Viewer importing files process, the end-user will know exactly
what is happening when he chooses to import files into a Project Viewer project.

I see an spinning indicator in the status bar, and if I click on it, the also I see
the progress in the task monitor. Why do you not also see that, I wonder??

Also, there is a message in the status bar, but it is not visible for very long. |
